Stay Healthy, Dr. Frank, We Need You!

So... John Ritter looks terrible here. I'm going to say it's his hair that makes redemption impossible. Although he *is* playing a bit of a putzy, flaccid kind of guy. The singular problem in this episode is- where did the psycho behavior from the staff come from? Bad tempers, granted. But, one minute Joe is normal and the next he's about to slit Dave's throat. And don't even get me started on Beth. I know the show has its "anything for a laugh" moments but I re-watch it semi-regularly and then I start thinking about how interesting it would be to interact with this group of people on a daily basis and... then... Beth. Ruins it. She's actually one of my favorite characters, I feel like you can never predict what she'll do or say. Anyway, good episode. Thanks to the fact that it's a real Dave episode. There are so many great things about this show but Dave is the one who really makes it. The weakest link storywise here is him being jealous of the Dr.'s involvement with Lisa. It's much more interesting that he may be jealous of Frank for getting the staff to trust him more. Which we know comes from them having known him for years and Dave is still kind of new at this point.
