It'd be unfair to say that "NewsRadio" was built on tormenting one specific character, but . . . hell, half the time, that's what's happening. And it just does it so well, that's the thing. Between Stephen Root's air-traffic controller headset and the security door, this episode hinges on (no pun intended) prop humor. And paranoia. Things go missing from Dave's desk, he installs protection measures, and no one follows 'em ("We're not circumventing anything, Dave, we're just trying to get *around* it") leaving the poor bastard all worked up; cue Dave taking to an easel with a pointer for the most sardonic teachable moment ever). He really is the zookeeper of this office. Throw in Bill's misfortunes with negotiating a T commercial and it's failure across the board.

Which makes for classic "NewsRadio" and great television 8/10
