Matthew Brock: So you told them that it was company policy not to date employees?
Dave: That's right.
Joe Garrelli: Wait a minute, what about you and Lisa?
Dave: This policy only applies to Matthew.
Joe Garrelli: That makes no sense at all!
Matthew Brock: Yeah, it does. You'd be surprised how many company policies apply only to me.

The slutty version of that singing frog
14 September 2013 | by (The Lobby) – See all my reviews

Bebe Neuwirth rules. She was incorporated well enough into the cast with this guest role, though there was a moment where I felt maybe Matthew was a little too pathetic. This isn't a dark show, but playing with a guy like that... let's be glad it's just fiction. Although, there was one point where it occurred to me- why do almost none of these characters have relationships? Most of them are eventually played for maybe these two will hook up (usually with Catherine and Joe), unless they're Matthew. Just...Matthew. Basically an alien, and easily the least interesting character on the show. Not that this is a probing sitcom in any case. Though it's often very mature. They usually tagged Matthew with all their inhuman ideas- things no rational person would ever say or do. This is way beyond sticking out. So... then Bill kept being harassed by these two evil security guards. Don't you hate when that happens? I know they come back in a later episode but it would be nice to know what their problem with Bill was. It was clear they were always going to let Joe pass by without showing them his ID. And good sport that Bill was, he still brought them chips. I would have brought them bugs. Roaches. Freshly bought from the pet store. And gotten chips for myself.
