Bill:
It's like my father used to say: "When I was a child I thought as a child and spoke as a child, but when I became a man I took that child out back and had him shot."
Bill:
Dave, there comes a time in every friendship when you have to say, "I never liked you, get lost."
Bill:
I got you this book. I thought you might like it.
Dave Nelson:
[
Reads title] "Crazy from the Heat." David Lee Roth. Wasn't he in Van Hallen?
Bill:
I'm not sure what town he's from. I think he was a singer before he turned to writing.
Lisa Miller:
Matthew, did you catalog all those tapes on the sanitation workers strike?
Matthew Brock:
Yeah, I wish.
David:
I work at a comic book store. I live in my parents' garage, with the car. And even I think there's something wrong with four grown men singing in a musical style that even old people hate.
Dave Nelson:
Just don't hurt their feelings.
Bill:
Dave, that is not my style.
Dave Nelson:
Yes, it is.
Dave Nelson:
Why the hell are you here?
David:
Because I don't wanna break those guys' hearts. You know, they've blown their whole lives to pursue this stupid ass dream, and I just can't do that to them.
Bob:
Hey Dave, last chance for Chock.
Bob:
Screw this, all right? You're all out of the group, and I'm outta here!
David:
Well, now *you're* being sagacious!
Bob:
Hey, shut up, all right? That's my word! All right, the next time you guys see me, I'm gonna be up on a stage with three guys who give a HOOT!
