Some Great Bits
Hitchcoc11 March 2023
First of all, the central plot element is Michael going to Syracuse to interview for a new job. While away, Alma, the receptionist takes over as producer for Dick's show. She is awesome, cutting through red tape, getting an outstanding guest. But this forces Dick to make a really difficult decision regarding Michael. In the other plot element, George wants to change his living quarters (which he does every ten years) and he enlist Joanna to do job. When she is done he walks into the room and what transpires is beyond funny. George is floored by the beauty of the place and doesn't dare touch anything. Joanna's response to his finickiness is one of the best things I've seen done on this show.

Dick may have to fire Michael

Michael tries out for a producer's job in Syracuse and leaves the station receptionist in charge of Dick's show.

It turns out she is a better producer than Michael and Dick considers replacing him. Dick says Michael is like a puppy that you don't like very much. There is a funny scene where Michael begs for his job. An even funnier subplot has George asking Joanna to redecorate his room. She makes it so nice George is afraid to mess it up.
