Dick brings his two clueless friends to see a Celtic's game when his friend cancels on him. They have bench passes but Dick loses his before the game starts, leading to a mess. Meanwhile George and Kirk, who couldn't care less about the game, get to watch. The girls, meanwhile, await the arrival of Daniel J. Travanti, the star of Hill Street Blues. Some pretty good laughs but I felt sorry for Dick.

Dick takes Kirk and George to Boston for a Celtics game.
This is a great episode and the series is really hitting it's stride now. The guys have bench passes but Dick loses his, he is stuck in a tunnel with a cop while Kirk and George have fun watching the game, even though neither one know anything about basketball. There is a hilarious parody of the Mean Joe Greene Coca Cola commercial with Dick and one of the Celtics. We also get a funny sub plot about Joanna and Leslie waiting for someone named Daniel Travanti to arrive at the inn. Don't miss this one, one of the best of Season 1.
