The Addams Family Cartoon
26 March 2006 | by See all my reviews

In the early seventies there was indeed an Addams Family cartoon, tho John Astin, Carolyn Jones, Ted Cassidy and Jackie Coogan didn't do the voices of their respective characters.

However, in this cartoon version, they did indeed do the Addams family voices and with great amusement too, especially John Astin as he is attacked by an octopus to great amusement.

As to the Mystery Machine gang, they are having a time baby-sitting Wednesday Addams.

This episode stands as one of the rare Scooby cartoons in which the culprits don't devise the ghost image to 'scare people away'.

Well, in a sense that is what was taking place, but for different reasons.

Because of the different plot, we do get a bit of a different ending.

We also get a bit of a better adventure with all five members of the gang, instead of Shaggy and Scoob having the adventure and Fred, Velma and Daphne finding the clues.

I always liked that elevator cage for some reason.

This IMDb listing isn't complete. There is no listing for either of the 3 Stooges adventures, nor is the Laurel & Hardy adventure listed.
