Victor Jory great as hitman "Deacon" Lee.

Warning: Spoilers
I saw this two-part episode only once in 1962 when it was broadcast and have never forgotten it. The policeman who died alone was Barney Phillips, gunned down by Jory in a men's room. Jory played a scripture quoting man of God who happened to be a mob hit man. By killing a police officer he became the hunted prey that he deserved to be. The ending had him holed up in a grocery store pinning down innocent shoppers as the police closed in. He shot at a mother and her daughter causing a watermelon to explode on their heads. A hail of machine gun bullets brought him down on a stairway in a spectacular special effects scene. I always enjoyed Jory's sometimes over-the-top performances and this one was a dandy!
