Trivia
Smallville featured a similar story (three Legionnaires go back in time to help a young Clark Kent fight off Brainiac) in the season eight episode "Legion" (written by Geoff Johns). "Legion" featured Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Lightning Lad (who replaced Chameleon Boy in the animated series' version, possibly because at the time of the show's production Lightning Lad's early-1990s' character was Live Wire, which might have been confused with the original antagonist created for "Livewire" two seasons before.).

No seriously..this episode in thirty minutes covers the same territory that the show Smallville does but yet this was done way better.Granted the main story about Brainiac was borrowed from 'The Terminator' the stuff with a young Clark Kent trying to come to grips with his emerging powers carried more weight than in Smallville..you could really see and hear the confusion in Clark as he tries to figure out why he can do such amazing things and how he and they fit into the world..Also Lana Lang is done better as well..her and Clark aren't bad lovesick puppies like in Smallville....This show did in thirty minutes what Smallville could never do in 5 seasons
