Storyline

Gunnery Sergeant Bill Atlas disappears shortly after telling red hair Washington Post gardening journalist Carol Powers, with whom he flirted in a bar, that he might become the next of several USMC friends to be made to disappear. Powers' husband has a valid alibi. The disappeared men however, officially listed as AWAL, can all be traced to the same US base on the Philippines, where they were involved in fights about local girls, and now serve under Major Joe Sacco in an explosives expert unit. Atlas is meanwhile suffering in chains in a grim dungeon, even gets a swarm of aggressive bees released on him. DiNozzo tails Sacco, to the bar where Atlas was last seen- his last words, reporting by phone hourly to Gibbs as agreed, state he doesn't feel too good and fears to have screwed up...
