Storyline

Maxwell and C.C. decide to hire Jack Walker, a precocious and not very talented twelve year old television star, to star in their stage production of Oliver! They're hiring him purely for his marquee value. His television series, Royal Flush, seems oddly familiar to the Sheffields. Jack is to stay at the Sheffield house until his parents can join him in New York. With his divo behavior, Jack turns the household upside down as he bosses everyone around. Fran, fed up with his behavior, tells Jack that he should act like a normal kid. She also makes him realize that he has no real friends. Because show business is the cause of his life problems, Jack decides to quit show business altogether, which includes quitting Maxwell and C.C.'s show. Furious, Maxwell tells Fran that she has to convince him that show business is his life, and that he should do Maxwell's show. When Jack breaks down with some true emotion about his want to lead a normal kid's life, Maxwell decides to let him out of ... Written by Huggo
