C.C. is taking a cooking class. Anyone who eats her cooking is taking their life in their own hands. It looks like Maxwell might have come down with food poisoning from her cooking. Meanwhile, Fran thinks that Maggie should start working to learn some responsibility. Despite thinking she is still a little too young, Maxwell allows her to do so but doesn't want her to take a paying job that someone who needs the money would be better suited. So she ends up getting a volunteer job candy striping. At first, Maggie is nervous about causing anguish to sick patients (as is Maxwell), but Maggie ends up loving the job. But when Maggie's boyfriend wants to go out on one of Maggie's volunteer nights, Maggie co-opts Fran to work for her. Neither Fran or Maggie tell Maxwell that Maggie is shirking her responsibility in this matter. But they may not need to tell him as he is admitted to the hospital - apparently not with food poisoning but appendicitis - into the exact room where Fran is hiding ... Written by

Maggie's boyfriend, Peter, is the same guy who Brighton paid to deceive Fran and Maxwell in The Nanny: The Strike
(1994). Brighton hired Peter to pretend as the designated driver when he planned to go to Jersey with his friend. Furthermore, it was mentioned in both episodes that Peter works at The GAP. See more
When Fran's talking to her mother on the phone, she says that Mike Douglas' show was cancelled 22 years ago. Since this show's approx date is 1995 that would put the cancellation around 1973. Mike Douglas' show actually ran from 1962 - 1980. See more
