PERHAPS AS AN attempt to bring a little variety to the fine series, this story is presented in much the same manner of an old-time, who dun-nit. Of course, this may well be a case of being a case the inevitable coming to the forefront as the obvious.

THE USUAL CAST members are put to use in the best sense of the word; with Lt. (Horace McMahon), Detectives Flint & Goombah (Paul Burke & Harry Bellaver) all being present on the scene. Individually and in groups, all who were present at the company where the murder of a tyrannical company mogul has occurred.

CAST MEMBER AND regular, Nancy Blank (Adam's love interest Libby) is not present in this episode.

FOR A TELEVISION series, which had always made good use of guest stars, this episode registered what must be a 'Guiness Book of World Records best for shear numbers, boasting four outstanding names in the cast. Headed up by Luther Adler, Nina Foch, Robet Loggia and Jerome Cowan* added "gravitas" to the episode.

ALL OF THIS is undoubtedly due to the series' being filmed in New York City with the great number of 'legitimate' (stage) actors available.

AS A BEFITTING climax and finale, the tradition of the cerebral, forensic detective is invoked; bringing to mind fictional gumsh0es as Nick Charles, Dick Tracy, Horatio Black** and, of course, Sherlock Holmes. Out-sleuthing his associates, Deytective Floint proves his theories to De true.

WITH THAT FINISH, we can declare it to be CASRE CLOSED; at least until next week!

NOTE: * That's right, Schultz! It's Miles Archer in THE MALTESE FALCON!

NOTE: ** Who's "Horatio Black", you ask? Why it's Boston Blackie's real name, silly!
