Andy's father, seen briefly in a dream sequence in the sixth season episode "I Have a Dream", was actually played by 'Dennis Franz'. With some creative lighting and by shaving off his familiar mustache, he was able to look distinctly different from Andy Sipowicz. Franz wore a fake mustache on the show until the real one grew back.
