When an old high school classmate, Will Forrest (Scott Bryce of "As the World Turns"), comes to town, Corky is forced to go out with him, thinking that he was an overweight kid but he is now a very handsome thin lawyer. We get to meet Phil's wife, Mother Nature, actually Phyllis (Dena Dietrich) and Corky's family (mother played by sitcom veteran Alice Hirson), and the wedding shower promises to be a very wild affair. But then Corky realizes what her name is going to be and begins to have second thoughts. It's an obvious planned gag but a funny one, and the bond between Corky and Murphy grows as a result of her confiding to her mentor. Corky has to deal with Elden who has had a crush on her since the beginning, coming to terms with his feelings, yet being kind and caring to her, a great moment for Robert Pastorelli to shine. It's obvious that their going out together isn't going to impact anything, but it does get to show Corky in a unique light and give her some shadowing amongst the grating perkiness.
