Mystery writer Eudora McVeigh, slipping on the bestseller list, is so furious to hear her publisher plans to sign up rising Jessica that she rocks her latest marriage by asking Hank Shipton to choose between her and his spoiled son Bobby. Next she arranges Cabot Cobe's inn to be 'over-booked' to practically invite herself at anyhow welcoming Jessica's home.
