DS Love sets off to visit the manufacturer of Samson's Salad while DI Purbright visits Dr. Meadow. To his surprise, Love finds that Miss Teatime, whom he and Purbright had met in their investigation of a marital introduction service, is the driving force behind the apparently successful aphrodisiac. The chef however is Brother Joe who may, or may not, be on leave from his monastery. Dr. Meadow is clearly ill-at-ease and in Purbright's view, hiding something. He's certainly not very forthcoming. However, when Meadow drops dead in mysterious circumstances while examining a patient in his office, the police have a whole new case on their hands. Written by garykmcd
