Storyline

The police investigate the death of a woman who, on first appearance seems to have jumped off the roof of a building. Unfortunately, she lands on a young man standing at the entrance to the building, killing him instantly. The woman, Jackie Aston, was an executive and, the police learn, a member of the Club Libero where married men and women can meet others who are interested in having a fling. The investigation focuses on Mark Drummond who had left the club with Jackie on the evening of her death. DI Susan Alembic goes undercover but as the case proceeds, the police realize they may be investigating the wrong murder. Written by garykmcd

The second season is spot on
9 August 2009 | by See all my reviews

The second season improves on the first as the strengths and weaknesses of the characters are highlighted in a more complex, and subtle, fashion. The acting is superb. Characters are interesting. And the plot moves forward in an engaging fashion. The chemistry between the team is much improved and seems natural.

This episode, "Wives and Lovers" makes good use of music to set the mood. The tension between the suspect and Susan is terrific as both actors perform at a high level.

The song at the end is performed by: Faithless featuring Dido The title is "One Step to Far" (C) 2001 BMG Entertainment International UK & Ireland Ltd.
