Richard Libertini as the loneliest repairman
17 October 2016 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Twelve Angry Appliances" finds Mindy's record player in need of a good repairman, since Mr. Strand (Richard Libertini) failed to get it done the first time. Rude and obnoxious when Mindy insists that he should finish the task for free, Strand stands his ground and counts his money. Seeking justice, Mork appears before Strand as 'the Ghost of appliances past,' demonstrating to him the error of his ways by a trial of his peers, the various appliances he had mistreated over the years. One such example is a simple blender, brought in for a loose plug four times. Translating a Japanese import: "this man would sell his mother to his father!" In this fashion the episode really does channel "12 Angry Men," Richard Libertini always a welcome presence in comedy.
