Mork and Mindy without Mearth
kevinolzak8 October 2016
"Present Tense" finds Mork and Mindy trying to enjoy an evening alone without son Mearth. A Moroccan dinner complete with belly dancer (Maria Lanahan) concludes with a small fire. Conversation proves difficult, so Mork resorts to tapping his own knee when not whistling Columbo's theme "This Old Man." Mindy is able to open up to her husband but loses patience with her 'spaceman' ("to the moon Alice!"). Returning to the place where they first met, now a construction site for a new home, Mork tries to rekindle the spark where she found him wearing his suit backwards, thinking he was a priest. Mork spills the beans to the foreman about how they married and hatched their son. Now that they're married, even their failures have become more important.
