The dreaded cheerleader episode
15 October 2016 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Hold That Mork" was the dreaded episode that Robin Williams despised most of all, as Mork tries out for the NFL's Denver Broncos 'Pony Express' cheerleading squad. The girls drop in for a Boulder charity event, where Mork compares their attire to Liberace. After a workout session in Mindy's living room, Mork is refused an opportunity to join: "this is one Pony Express that carries no male!" PETTICOOAT JUNCTION's Linda Henning plays squad manager Pam Stockhaus, who allows Mork a tryout after accusations of sexism from Nelson Flavor (Jim Staahl). The game where Mork debuts was filmed at the Nov 11 1979 Broncos victory over the New England Patriots by a score of 45-10, proof that the series could sink even lower after Raquel Welch.
