To think that they can make an entire 60 minute episode all about a family getting a dog. Of course, to do that they had to put a lot drama into it. For instance, this dog was some sort of killer. "Snow," as the Monroe children appropriately named him, is being accused of killing the Major's livestock. When one of his men shoots it, Snow runs off injured.

The Monroes, having hearts as great as the outdoors, take the dog in and hide him from the Major. But eventually Clayt understands that it is risking Snow's life so they run him off.

The writers did not do a good job keeping the interest during the entire episode. I think it could have been condensed down into only a half hour and would have been a much better episode to view.
