Trivia

Ileane Meltzer, who plays Evan Coker's cranky neighbor in this episode (who chews Monk out twice for adjusting her sundial) and has worked as a costume designer for Monk, also played an angry neighbor in Love at Large, a romantic comedy/detective story in which Ted Levine plays a bigamist with two names and two lives. Goofs

If Coker walked over a gravel road and needed bandages, he should have left bloodstains behind in his footprints at the crime scene, but no one ever mentions them and we don't see any stains. See more »

Quotes

Capt. Stottlemeyer: [after his wife was nearly killed, and it took a while to figure out who was responsible] I understand now, Monk. You can't let it go, can you?
Adrian Monk: [twitches] No.
