Another good tale, with an unusual twist

Warning: Spoilers
Excellent story again; where Reeder has to call upon all his usual guile in order to clear his name from an impending charge of murder. Nice to see an early appearance of Geoffrey Hughes, and unusual to see Madeleine Smith, fully clothed AND in a dress with a high neckline...

The Willing Victim

J G Reeder is having a series of close shaves. It seems someone is trying to kill him.

Miss Belman is distraught as she has heard that he really has died.

Lew Kassio is the man plotting Reeder's device as revenge. His henchman Danny is just a tad unlucky.

However Kassio gets a chance to frame Reeder for murder. The willing victim is Sam Corner who is seriously ill and does not have long to live.

Inspector Todd thinks he has Reeder bangs to right which greatly upsets Sir Jason Toovey. He has been showing his softer side courtesy of his new assistant Miss Clutterbuck.

It was only a matter of time that past enemies would want revenge on Reeder. It was just a surprise that Inspector Todd thought Reeder was guilty.

At least Reeder uses his cunning to turn the tables on Kassio.

A good episode with a young Geoffrey Hughes and the delectable Madeline Smith.

Reeder comes face to face with an old foe.

Over the years Reeder has put many people away, one of them, Lew Kassio has been busy in Prison plotting the perfect revenge, after a few failed attempts, Sam Corner gives Kassio a proposition which seems to good to be true.

I loved this episode, perhaps the best since The Green Mamba, great that Reeder is on the other side of the law for once, and finally up against a plan with a degree of cleverness. Things seem bleak for him, he has to be at his very best, nice to see Sir Jason come up trumps and support his member of staff.

Miss Clutterbuck is hilarious, with her soft, sultry voice, the effect she has on Sir Jason is hilarious. Madeline Smith, a well known face from The Two Ronnies.

One of the best. 9/10
