Tom Mead is a detective investigating a theft. He soon falls in love with the female suspect, Ella. Upon receiving a million dollars from a stranger, he believes he can buy her way out of the accusations but Ella has different plans. Tom believes all will end well as soon as he clears Ella's name.

Tom is attacked by some thugs but while in the hospital, he figures out what is going on and the story takes a good twist. Tom discovers Ella has a sinister past and has committed an entirely different crime.

The role of Ella was especially well played by Claudia Barrett.

This classic series always delivered and is a must watch!
