Quotes

Det. James 'Sonny' Crockett: Whoa. This guy's a real charmer. Looks like he should be on a playground somewhere giving candy to little girls.
Grover Watkins: Try and understand something, both of you. Tom Pierce is out on the edge. He likes it there.
Det. James 'Sonny' Crockett: Maybe he's lost his balance.
Grover Watkins: Tommy... lost his balance a long time ago.

An episode so average you might not even remember watching it.

It's not that this is a bad episode, it's certainly not great, but there's not much worth criticizing here other than that it's the equivalent to watching paint dry.

The plot is garden variety: an immoral politico running for office gets snared in a sex scandal and the cops unravel the trail of corruption and double dealings. Sure there's plenty of potential, but the writers can't elevate the material beyond the mundane.

The trend of mediocre seems to pervade every aspect of the episode: directing, acting, production design, etc. While on one hand it's an improvement over the Caitlin Davies (Sheena Easton) episodes, it's a far cry from the first 6 episode of season 4. Hopefully we're heading back in the right direction.
