An average episode with a strong cast
17 August 2007 | by (England) – See all my reviews

"French Twist" is an average episode of Miami Vice. When the beautiful Cindy ("Coming to America"'s Shari Headley) photographs the murder of a delivery man by a dangerous assassin, her life is in danger and Crockett and Tubbs are made responsible for her safety.

The episode contains performances from Lisa Eichhorn as the business-focused french police inspector Danielle and Leonard Cohen as bad-guy Francois Zolan. Shari Headley brings glamour to the proceedings.

Crockett continues his run of back luck with the ladies when he starts to fall for Danielle's (hidden) charms. Will the man ever learn?!

8 out of 10. Not bad but not particularly gripping. The episode's soundtrack is mainly made up of Jan Hammer's top-notch music but there's Aretha Franklin's "Who's Zoomin' Who" added for good measure.
