I don't know if acne is as much a problem for teens as it was in my day and Medic's. I hope not. Anyway, the series shows its mettle by devising a half hour around a severely afflicted teen and his hard-driving mom. She insists that her son fulfill her dead husband's Olympic dreams by driving his practices and competition. The poor kid's already suffering social stigma because of acne, and gets no relief at home. Nothing life or death here, but it is a bold attempt to deal with a common, if largely cosmetic, problem of the time, for which there was little anodyne.

Good acting from cast principals.
