This episode begins when Binghamton has the two PT commanders, McHale and Carpenter, in a meeting to discuss a female war correspondent, Patricia Brent, that will be doing a story on PT boats. Binghamton is going to have an inspection of each boat and the winner will get to have the female on the boat for an entire week.

Gruber has already met a fine looking lady that was picking up film for the trip aboard the PT boat. Gruber thought that this women was Patricia Brent and made a point to comment to the other guys about how beautiful this women looked. So to make sure that PT 73 wins the inspection, the crew sabotages the other PT boat so that they can get the vixen on their boat. But what they don't know is the women they thought was Patricia Brent is only an aide for her. Ms Brent is a foul mouth, homely woman that is a constant pain for everyone. Now the crew wishes they had lost the inspection.

This was a wonderful story that was entertaining from the beginning till end. There was actually some very funny scenes in this episode that put a smile on the viewer's face and kept the interest high. An enjoyable show to watch.
