McCloud Of The Mounted
31 January 2015 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

This episode of McCloud finds Chief Clifford finding yet another place to keep Dennis Weaver out of sight and out of mind. He transfers him to the Mounted Police out in Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx figuring that McCloud's western ways won't be noticed among the horses. There's even a visiting sheriff from Arizona there as well.

The captain of the Mounted Police Peter Mark Richman feels his troops are given short shrift so when a robbery of an armory goes down and a lot of weapons are stolen from the Marines, McCloud is in a car that spots them and gives pursuit. The robbers are better armed then the cops and one of the mounted patrol is killed and the sheriff wounded.

Along also in the car is Julie Sommars who is trying very hard to make good as a police officer and she's really asking too much for folks not to notice how beautiful she is. Still she does come through for Dennis Weaver when they do their own investigation.

With the usual bumps that give J.D. Cannon the ulcers he has McCloud once again comes through.

Wouldn't it be great if these guys could once get on the same page?

There ya go.
