American poacher Fred Beir (as Joe) is in the countryside to shoot elephants and collect money for their ivory. He kills at least two elephants, defying Indian law. After Maya is shot, Terry (Jay North) asks retiring hunter Ivor Barry (as Meredith) for help. The British army colonel was a friend of his father. Believing himself too old for adventure, Mr. Barry gives Terry a weapon, but declines any further assistance. When they threaten to turn Mr. Beir over to the police, the poacher decides to kill Terry and Raji (Sajid Khan), too. It would be terrible if Maya died from her gunshot wound, and even worse for the TV series if Terry and Raji were killed. While predictable, the confrontation scene plays well. And, Maya the elephant delivers her best performance on television, to date.
