Townsman: Well, maybe so, but he ain't no poker player when he's sober. And now he's drinking.

A State Of Siege
10 February 2016 | by (Nashville, Tennessee) – See all my reviews

A strong storyline adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson! Bart saves Don Gelipe's life and is invited to his hacienda but shows up at a bad time. Felipe is trying to reclaim land once owned by his family but now belongs to the United States. Of course, the U.S. won the Mexican War in 1848 under president James K. Polk. Bart expects a warm welcome from Felipse and is shocked when he receives the opposite. Felipe's hacienda is under siege. When he tells Maverick to leave, Bart says, "All I wanted was a good night's sleep." When Maverick was on television, there were no problems with Mexico regarding the southwest. With the influx of 12 million illegal aliens from south of the border, such is not the case today.
