Maude cannot stand Tinkie and is dreading her visit, then she hears that her plane has crashed.
A very funny Season 6 opener. We first hear Maude talking about how nasty Tinkie is. She gets a call and Tinkie tells her she is taking out a $50,000 life insurance policy and names Maude as beneficiary. Then she gets the news that the plane crashed. The series had many episodes involving death and this one may be the funniest. At first everyone feels guilty but then Maude realizes she will inherit the 50K and can now go on a Rome vacation. There is a very funny moment when they hear that there is a lone survivor! It turns out not to be Tinkie. The most hilarious moment comes when Tinkie walks through the door, she had refused to get on the plane and took a Greyhound bus instead! She is played by Bella Bruck and she is hysterically funny as the cranky old Tinkie. She had funny appearances on other shows like "The Munsters" (as a Russian sub crew member) and "The Odd Couple".
