Beautiful anthology episode in original color!
24 July 2012 | by (Springfield,New Jersey, USA) – See all my reviews

This may have been the only Anthology series of the 1950's that was filmed in color(to my knowledge). This episode concerns a workplace interaction among office workers with June Lockhart providing a nice turn as a sympathetic co-worker who strikes up a relationship with a naive office "newbie" who seems to be on the receiving end of some cruel office interplay. The basic plot line, while predictable in parts is somewhat unique in that it involves a lottery ticket.Remember, Lotteries were few and far between in those days before the advent of "state-run " lotteries.Office gossip and the single-set provide the backdrop to the plot giving it a "High-School" feel, showcasing the cool-cats versus the nerds.Overall I found it quite enjoyable and Lockhart 's performance alone makes it worthwhile.
