Storyline

Part 1: It's your typical Monday at Mathnet, except, George can't dance, don't ask him. Kate offers to teach him, and just as they are getting started, enter Sgt. Bill Dietrich. The Auto Theft Division is Swamped.... Thefts are up 295% over the last two months! The Mathnetters ask Debbie to start compiling a database, when.... Bill Dietrich's car is stolen! (TO BE CONTINUED...) Part 2: George coyly reveals that Sgt. Dietrich had been parked in a "No-Parking Zone", and they take him to retrieve his car. While there, they run into Li-So, a recently licensed teenage driver who lost her mother's car to a Police Wrecker. George and Kate agree to help her, and Kate finds that, apparently, there is no wrecker 317 (the wrecker that towed Li-So's mother's car.) Debbie returns from crunching numbers, and finds, among other things, that large cars (e.g. Cadillacs Lincolns, and Station Wagons) are up theft-wise, cars are being stolen during the day, and LAPD has only been able to recover 30% of ...
