Excellent episode...

Always enjoyed this episode from way back when! It's hard to believe that this series lasted the way that it did and the reruns have stood the tests of time. It is an episode that starts out slowly and builds til the end. Funny lines and Great scenes throughout. It allows for us all to see the talents and abilities of all the actors and, ultimately, Martin Lawrence versatility and comedic timing. He truly is gifted and extremely dedicated to his craft and to comedy. I truly wish that he would get another series and work from there accordingly. I think it would be great! It's something that's long overdue.

The pilot episode of the funniest TV show of all time.

Way back on August 27, 1992, the Martin TV had its world premiere on FOX. Our Black comedy world would NEVER be the same.

In the show's pilot episode Beauty and The Beast, the world was introduced to the comedic genius of Martin Lawrence as THE star this time. Then there was the supporting cast to die for which included Tisha Campbell (Gina Waters), Thomas Mikal Ford (Tommy Strawn), Carl Anthony Payne (Cole Brown), and Tichina Arnold (Pamela James).

When the pilot episode of Martin premiered 31 years ago, none of us had any idea of how iconic this show would be in the Black community. We know now.
