Storyline

Al finally gets cable TV installed in the Bundy household, but he cannot find anything good to watch. All that changes when Kelly, gibed out of an appearance on a public access TV by her modeling school teacher, gets her own talk show on the air with just $35 from her girlfriends. "Vital Social Issues N' Stuff With Kelly," features an all girl band and some of her friends discussing subjects such as "mens butts" and "the slut of the week." Written by Anonymous

Goofs

Al gets a new remote for his TV and uses it right away without any coding. This indicates that the remote was made specifically for his model TV. So how is it controlling Marcy's? Even if it was a programmable remote, Al would've had to enter codes for both his TV and Marcy's (it's possible that he got it coded for his own TV wherever he bought it, assuming he knew the model number of his TV, but the store wouldn't be able to code it for Marcy's TV as well), and even if he did, he would have to switch the remote between controlling Marcy's TV and his own (that's assuming it accepts two TV codes in the first place), and we only see him hitting the "channel" buttons. Long story short, unless they had the exact same model TV (unlikely), Al's new remote couldn't control Marcy's TV and his own at the same time. Not to mention that when Al tries to control Marcy's TV, he is holding the remote out his door and across the street - it would never reach her TV. See more »

If I had to pick my absolute favorite episode (and I like a lot of them a great deal) this would be it! I laughed so hard. I still remember the first time I saw it, I was still laughing well after the end of Kellys' Vital Social Issues 'n' Stuff public access spot. The Bad Perm Victim steals the show. When I have made comedy collection dvds for friends, this is the Married With Children episode I am always sure to include. I didn't like the sequel (part II) quite as much as this one. The slashettes were funny as well, and even though 'Vic-ki' was 2 dimensional with no speaking part, the show would not have been the same without her. The reaction from Al and Bud is hilarious. It is classic Married With Children.
