A Personal Favorite Episode!

Now with Marcy's single life, she decides to go dancing and take Peggy with her. Peggy attracts a guy named Andy played by Sam McMurray. They go dancing a couple times a week. Finally, Andy's wife shows up at Al's door. It turns out that Andy's gay and his wife is actually a man played by Dan Castellnata. Al and him bond over his cooking especially his potatoes and discussion about sports. Al thinks he's a male Peggy but he's wrong. He's got a job, he cooks, and watches sports but would rather be home like Al than out dancing with his spouse. I like the part where Al gets to eat and says "Will you marry me?" I thought the episode was well-done despite it's nature which was controversial in it's day for 1990. Oh well, times have changed but not the Bundys.
