It's been quite a while since Al last insulted an overweight woman, but he's back on form in 'Tis Time to Smell the Roses: as soon as we see that the woman's name is Ms. Blaub, we know what's coming, but it's still funny when it happens.
Unfortunately, Al's rude behaviour is the only notable moment in this otherwise routine episode, in which Al takes an offer for early retirement and hopes to invest his money in another shoe store so that he can be the boss for a change. The gags are okay, but okay isn't what I want from MWC - I want the acerbic wit, the unashamedly non-PC humour, the sexiness and the sassiness that made the show so entertaining in its prime.
