This is the 33rd episode of 1964 to 1968 spy series, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. The series ran for a total of 105 episodes. The first season was filmed in black and white with the remainder shot in colour. Robert Vaughn plays agent Napoleon Solo while David McCallum, plays Illya Kuryakin, Leo G Carroll plays Mister Waverly, the boss of the secret agency known as U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law & Enforcement) Their main enemy is THRUSH, an organization out to take over the planet.
UNCLE agents David McCallum and Adam Roarke are sent to Paris to see a magician, Andre Philippe, who claims to have developed a mind-reading device. Turns out the device actually works but there is a fly in the ointment. THRUSH agents, led by Vincent Price would like to get their hands on the machine. There is a shootout with Philippe being killed. UNCLE though manages to escape with the device.
McCallum heads back to New York while Roarke brings the device in through Canada. THRUSH boss Price flies to New York as well to try and intercept the package. There, he joins forces with more THRUSH types led by Patrica Medina. Price and Medina are rivals for an upcoming THRUSH higher up job.
Getting mixed up in the business is Julie Sommars. Sommars had worked as the helper of magician Philippe when all the trouble hit. THRUSH thinks she might be working for UNCLE.
There is the mandatory amount of kidnappings, karate chops, escapes and gun battles involved before THRUSH manages to lay their hot little hands on the mind reading machine. Now there is a falling out among the THRUSH bosses, Medina grabs up the device and leaves Price and the UNCLE crew to be killed. The old nick of time rescue led by Leo G. Carroll saves the day. The device however is lost forever when Medina's car explodes with her inside.
Great looking episode with old pro's Price and Medina looking like they are having a great time.
