Send it with flowers!

Flowers turn up at the flat, addressed to Chrissy and from 'an unknown admirer'. Then chocolates arrive, also bearing the same cryptic inscription. Speculation runs rife as to the identity of the sender. Larry? Flowers and chocolates are not his style. Chrissy phones old boyfriend Bernard ( Colin McCormack ), but as he is now married with children it seems unlikely to be him.

Chrissy donates the items to Mrs.Roper, who teases her husband into thinking they are for her. When Bernard comes calling in an effort to rekindle his romance with Chrissy, Roper angrily confronts him...

Sally Thomsett upstages her fellow cast members here by wearing a strange dress that looks like it started life as a set of curtains. A good episode, even though its another Larry free zone. The sender turns out to be the nerdy Alan, played by Christopher Chittell, better known these days as 'Erc Pollard' from 'Emmerdale'. In a nice twist, it turns out he sent the gifts to the wrong person - they were meant for Jo.

Colin McCormack appeared ( as different characters ) in two earlier stories - 'Its Only Money' from Season 1 and 'When The Cat's Away' from Season 2.

Funniest moment - an angry Roper returning home after a darts match at the British Legion. "The bloke who did the scoring has got it in for me!", he fumes. Mildred replies: "I'm not surprised. Your dart hit his hand at least twice!".
