- Jo (Sally Thomsett) is washing the dirt away from the glass windows to the terrace. She comments to Chrissy (Paula Wilcox) that there seems to be a problem with one of them.
Sandra (Suzanne Moore) is a blonde girl who appears to be whipping all the time. She is looking for Robin Tripp.
Robin Tripp (Richard O'Sullivan) and Larry Simmonds (Doug Fisher) are talking about going out with girls, and Larry admits that sometimes he gives false names to his girls so that they can't find him if he wants to get rid of them. Sandra phones asking for Robin Tripp, Larry gets nervy and he hangs up.
Sandra goes to Robin's shared appartment and tells Jo and Chrissy that she's pregnant because she hasn't had her period for six weeks. The girls tell Robin, who is really shocked. Robin thinks her flatmates are talking about her love interest Linda (Alison Hughes). He takes her out for a dinner at a fancy restaurant. He's distracted and suddenly he proposes. Linda is over the moon.
Robin takes Linda to the flat and he tells the girls. To his amazement, they call him "rat" and "pig".
Larry finally admits that he's given Robin's name to several girls. Robin wants Larry to get him out of it. Robin takes Linda to the pub, and Larry appears and expoils it all by pretending he's an homosexual love interest of Robin's. Obviously, Linda dumps Robin right there.
George Roper (Brian Murphy) wants to make Mildred (Yootha Joyce) feel jealous. Laters, he has to mend the window of the tenants' flat.
Sandra talks to Larry and tells him she's not pregnant after all. She counted the weeks wrongly, but that her father is angry with him and out there looking to beat Robin Tripp up.
Her father (Mostyn Evans) appears at the tenants' flat when George is about to leave after mending the leaking window. He hits George and Mildred thinks he deserves it.
