Robin is delighted at being chosen to play for the Euston Polytechnic football team. To celebrate, he takes Chrissy and Jo to the Mucky Duck. The Ropers are there too. George has a heavy cold. The next morning, Robin has it. The girls try to help him overcome the condition before the kick-off on Saturday...

A fair episode, reminiscent in parts of 'The Cold' from 'Hancock's Half-Hour'. Robin recovers only to find out at the last minute that the game is in fact rugby football, not good old fashioned soccer as he had expected. Michael Redfearn, who plays 'Tom', was the father in the long-running series of Oxo commercials starring Lynda Bellingham. Duncan Lamont, a.k.a. 'Dr.Walker', appeared in numerous dramas and sitcoms including 'Callan', 'Doctor In Charge' and 'Dr.Who'.

Funniest moment - at the pub, Robin takes the dish off the pies, intending to buy three. Roper, also at the bar, sneezes violently all over them. Replacing the dish, Robin immediately changes his order to one for three cheese rolls.
