High school depicted in the early 2000's was nothing but a hotbed for deception, and given people a false idea of reality. Or maybe not. I don't know, I went to a private school.
But what I do know, is Malcolm did something wrong to his brother, humiliating him. But he redeems himself in one of the most honest ways possible, taking not only himself down a peg, but everyone else.
We need to rid ourselves of these outdated and harmful clichés of high school. Everyone needs to feel safe, and not be a product of the environment, where everyone makes fun of the other for being different. It encourages dishonesty and paranoia, that leads into depression.
If everyone were allowed to be open and honest, and be free to be who they are, then this would be a better world.
All in all what Malcolm did was excellent. And I give him a round of applause for that.
