A great story

What a great episode. Really illustrates the comradeship of TC and Magnum and Rick that they probably acquired in Nam. Like in sports and team mates, military service creates bonds with your brothers in arms.

A great great episode.

One of the strongest episodes from the first season

"Thicker Than Blood" stands out as one of the strongest episodes from the first season of "Magnum P.I."

The episode is the first in the series to have the familiar high-octane opening titles with the legendary "Magnum" theme tune.

There's a significant budget, some impressive set-pieces and a real sense of peril for one of Magnum's best friends.

To top it off, there's a real sense of friendship and loyalty that permeates this story.

9 out of 10.

A Nam episode!

Warning: Spoilers
T C owes a Nam who saved his life! Well the deal goes sideways and Magnum to the rescue. A simple storyline, but a great character episode. There is friendships bonded in war with Rick, T C and Magnum. Thicker Than Blood is more of a character driven story and a P I episode. Well directed and acted the viewer given insight of the characters for the series. Magnum's narration help guides the episode. 7 stars.

TC

Warning: Spoilers
This is a powerful TC-centric episode that really shows the fury and anger of TC towards the drug trade. The scene at the end when TC beats up one of the smugglers really connects. Loyalty is on display as TC rescues an old Vietnam War buddy who sadly is addicted in his veins.

I like watching the early episodes of Magnum, and it was fascinating seeing the original theme by Ian Freebairn-Smith which was a cross between the Love Boat and CHiPs.

I love the Hawaiian sunny scenery and the lushness of it all. Thicker Than Blood is one to watch again, especially for the cheesy English accents on display.
