I only remember one thing from this episode

At the end, Rick and TC are bored silly doing a stakeout of a married couple having an argument on a lighthouse. TC isn't even paying attention. Then the man picks his wife up and throws her off the lighthouse, killing her. Rick drops his camera and looks over in shock at TC.

It was just one of those little shockers that the show would occasionally pull on you that worked very well. I saw it back on the day and I think everybody else in the house has stopped paying attention too.

Meanwhile, my reaction was just like Rick's. From bored to jaw dropped.

The ending

The ending was very, very, very controversial, and actually controversially abrupt in a way that some of the audience will find shocking and then some. I couldn't believe it when I watched it. I've only watched this episode once, but the ending is on the internet. Anyway, here John Hillerman plays his half-brother who is from Ireland.

To be honest, I can't tell the difference between an Irelandman and an Englandman, I really can't. But still, here that was assumed. Also, creator Donald P. Bellisario makes a guest appearance as the clerk of a sleazy hotel. He kind of looked like Tobin Bell but not.
