Black marketeers are stealing everything not nailed to the ground, including medical supplies. As Henry proudly polishes his 100+ year old antique oak desk, the entire 4077 shipment of hydrocortisone is stolen. Radar suggests Trapper and Hawkeye visit Charlie Lee (Jack Soo), one of the most notorious "salesmen" of stolen American goods. Charlie seems to have samples of everything in his office but the doctors find the one thing Charlie is lacking. If Radar can keep Maj. Burns from recognizing Lin, (Robert Ito) Charlie's driver, and if Henry does not recognize Charlie, the doctors may "pull it out" to everyone's satisfaction ...but Henry's. Written by LA-Lawyer

Another One of Henry's Desks Victimized
20 February 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

A standard plot element in MASH was confronting the black market. In this episode, they have commandeered a load of medical supplies, including cortisone, which is critical to saving lives. Instead, a hundred year old oak desk arrives for Henry Blake. Hawkeye and Trapper take off to see a guy named Lee (Jack Soo) who literally runs the black market. He is willing to sell the stuff back to them for an exorbitant price and they end up offering Henry's desk in exchange. This leads to a hilarious effort to get the desk unto a truck at 4:00 a.m. Of course, Frank and Margaret get in the way and things aren't so easy. Jack Soo is hilarious as the marketeer, portraying a general at one point, and the clueless Henry has no idea what is going on, of course. The final scene is hilarious.
