We're having a heat wave! The 4077th deals with a sudden heat wave in their own personal ways: Klinger disassembles the P.A. system, Charles goes through all of his tax returns and bonds, B.J. stresses over a letter from Peg, Margaret develops a severe case of prickly heat, and Colonel Potter can't get a good night's sleep. [Klinger has taken apart the PA system. The parts are scattered across the floor]
Do you know anything about PA systems?
Only that they convey sound at a greatly increased volume, if they have not been dismantled by a "cretin" who doesn't know how to put them back together again.

In the MASH version of Korea, it seems to be horribly cold or incredibly hot. In this episode it is sweltering and all the participants are one edge. Since they can't seep, they do all manner of things. Charles is doing his income taxes because his CPA has been thrown in jail. The Colonel takes a sleeping pill and is out cold. Margaret has the ultimate case of prickly heat and can't even sit down. Klinger is taking apart the intercom system so he can learn and get a job back in the states. B.J. is obsessed with a letter his wife sent him about fixing the gutters. His restlessness is driving Hawkeye crazy. All through the episode, they need to keep waking Potter up, except because of the sleeping pills, he is barely conscious, not knowing what he is saying half the time. This is a fun episode.
