When Klinger is brought in from being out in the cold trying to catch pneumonia Honeycutt says "Welcome to One Man's Family." This was the title to a popular American radio show that ran from 1932 to 1959.
After Klinger is grazed by a bullet from the kid's rifle and is "seeing his whole life pass in front of him" while being tended to in Post-op by Hawkeye and Margaret, he blurts out "Harry" and "Freida" among other names to whom he is saying goodbye. "Harry" and "Freida" were the parents of this episode's writer, Larry Gelbart. ("Harry" and "Freida" also were the names of Capt. Tuttle's parents in the Season 1 episode, "Tuttle," co-written by Gelbart.)
Corp Max Klinger's blood type is B+.
