Frank Burns: Bulldozer
Hitchcoc9 March 2015
A pretty decent episode. Everything is crazy because of the camp coming under mortar fire from American artillery. It is also incredibly cold, so everyone is under stress. There is a new guy who has no idea what is going on. There are two patients, one using a ton of blood but still failing, and the other with tubes in every part of his body and a ton of PTSD. The other plot involves notes that Frank has been sending to Margaret. He finds out that she is saving every one of them. He fears this will lead to problems for him later and decides to tear apart her tent while she is on duty in the hospital. He demolishes everything she has, even ripping panels from her walls. Everyone goes up the ladder, yelling at the brass, but to no avail. Klinger is injured by the new guy, seeing his life pass before his eyes (it is only a scratch, but....). Well done with good pacing.

Warning: Spoilers
Here the writers and Larry Linville himself, would have wondered what was the future for Frank Burns in the long-term future of M*A*S*H? Yes, Frank brought in the laughs but inevitably his character's impact diminished over the next two seasons.
